So I have played a Halo game like once in my life, when I was probably 10 (I am now 23), so I don't know any of the game or book storylines going into the show. But what I've seen so far, I've really liked.

Has anyone else been watching Halo on Paramount +?

I fell behind, but I think I'm on episode 4 now. Had pretty low expectations but I'm really liking it so far. Seems like they had a pretty good sense of when to stick to the video game and when they needed to branch out to make a better story.

That they take off MC's helmet is all I needed to know about the series.

I was a huge Halo fan in the mid 2000s and read all the books too. The director and actors have said they stayed away from the games and books so I just accept the series wasn't targeted to me.

Also, I don't know anyone with Paramount+.

First time I saw a needler vaporize a marine in a poof, I morbidly chuckled. Hate those things.

I wasn't really big into the games, played the first one a little. So far though I'm enjoying it, I got a free trial to Paramount + to watch the latest Jackass movie and paid $5 to keep it for a month because of Halo. I also binged the first season of Picard and liked it, I'm not really a big Star Trek guy either.

That's what made the game so cool 20+ years ago. Generally the needler was junk. In the right scenario it was the perfect weapon. I've never been a big gamer but I was absolutely addicted to the original Halo.

Never played the game nor read the book(s). I'm watching the Halo series and it looks like they have laid out enough plot lines and character development to keep me watching.

I jump in and out of Paramount+ myself, but I'm both a big Star Trek fan and watch all the US Men's National Soccer Team games, so it's fairly essential TV for me.

A little secret tip about Paramount+ is that they by far throw out the most promo codes for a free month all the time and this site updates them:

Using this site, I rarely actually pay anything for the service........ but sssshhhhhh

A subscription to 247 sports (cyclone alert) gives you free Paramount+…. It’s totally worth it for both.
