NFL: Gruden to the Raiders for $100 million

Wow! Was he really even that good of a coach? I'm struggling to even remember what his accomplishments were. Did he coach that Tampa team with the terrible QB that won the Super Bowl?
He is going to be a huge draw when the team moves to Vegas. They're going to sell a bunch of season tickets now just with this hire.
Won the Super Bowl in his first year in Tampa. And then went 44-51 in his next 6 season (57-55 overall with Tampa).
He was 38-26 in Oakland which is why they think he is a coaching god.
He never should have came back. There is no way this ends well.
Don't forget that Tampa traded a draft pick to the Raiders to get Gruden that season. The team Gruden beat in the Super Bowl was his own Raider's team that he built.
Tough to turn away $100 million when you know ESPN is struggling.
Right now he is seen as a coaching genius. This will be like when Joe Gibbs came back. The veil will be pulled away.

As I life long Raiders fan I approve. Not saying he is the best coach out there but... he knows what he is getting into with Mark Davis. Raiders have a lot of young talent that they need to cash in on in the next 5 years. This should have been a playoff team this year and they floundered in a week division.

No way it ends well for the Raiders. Gruden will be stinking rich either way. And he can just blame the team for not having enough talent if he gets canned.
And he did it with a team that Tony Dungy built. Against a team "coached" by Bill Callahan. Gruden is wildly overrated.
Do you think it was just coaching that they were missing? I actually like some of their young talent, but they seemed to show some holes this year.
