Congrats to Junior, on doing it the right way. He would have more homers than Bonds if he didn't get injured, and I wonder why Bonds didn't get injured... cough...'roids...cough. On Sportscenter they had a poll that asked, Who is the greatest home run hitter of this era?, and Griffey came in first, followed by A-Rod. He's perhaps the best all-around player of the last 20 years. It's a shame he doesn't have a good shot at Aaron's record, because he deserves it.

Congrats to Griffey!!
Maybe it's time for me to sell this:

I wish he would have hit it in Philly on Thursday while I was there. He came close twice, with a double to the warning track and Victorino grabbing a ball that was inches away from leaving the park...

My favorite player of any sport ever. I appreciate him even more after all the cheating has surfaced .

I remember buying $5 packs of Upper Deck cards just to get his rookie card that was worth about $50 at the time. I bought about 2 or 3 and finally hit the jackpot. I think I was about 13 and couldn't believe what I saw when i went scrolling through the deck of cards that I just opened.

I about jumped through my TV and killed Skip Bayless this morning when he was preaching from his Soap Box about how Jr. was the lovable loafer who never worked at the game.

The other three pannelist didn't look happy about his take. No wonder no one likes this guy.

He's my favorite baseball player! I have around 200 of his playing cards, which I started collecting when I was about 10 years old.
Congrats to Griffey!

Unfortunately, it's gonna be Bonds, Clemens, Canseco, and McGuire that are the faces of this baseball generation because of steroids, when it should be guys like Griffey that did it the right way. Congrats - you deserve 150 more...

I have the highest admiration for Jr. He is one of the last true classic ball players. Sad day when he hangs up his cleats.

I believe that I still have my card... I got it in a pack too.. And I think I have about 40 of his rookie cards.
