I'm sure those of you that are traveling are in last minute prep mode. I love a road trip (especially for sports), so I'm a little envious of your up coming trip.

I'm noticing quite the ground swell in fan interest after the ASU game. I'm a rain or shine, 3 hour before the game tailgate guy and usually have to beg, borrow, or steal people to go with me. This week I had 8 requests by Tuesday. Granted I'm going with 3 ISU people, but that's quite the increase from my usual outings.

Most of the basic Vegas stuff has been covered in other threads so I'll save the advice. Here’s to an injury free game and a safe trip for everyone.

See you soon....Go Rebels. And yes, when the games over we promise to leave the field. :biglaugh:

Could you please admit there was nothing controversial about the end of the game 2 years ago?

Your coach seems to be attached.

3 hours is it? Come to ISU sometime, we'll show you a good tailgate

Nothing controversial about that call at all. (except our coaches behavior). I do wonder though why you think he is still attached?

I think there is a segment of our fanbase that is more attached to that incident than Sanford is. If I'm not mistaken, Sanford said after the fact that the call was 100% correct, but he didn't know that at the time & was upset with the lack of communication from the officiating crew. It certainly wasn't a great way to end the game, but it's 2 years behind us at this point. Let's let it go & focus on Saturday.

Nothing wrong with the call and he looked like a complete baffoon. Total embarssment to both the school and its football program. It's been one of my biggest weapons in getting him released from his contract. I'm not a big Sanford guy.

That and the idiot wide receiver told him he caught it in bounds (glad he's gone). . I can understand why your fan base felt disrespected. He had bad info and was trying to stick up for his players and made a total *** of himself in the process.

Let's hope we can put this all behind us and have a good clean game this weekend. I wish I could be there. . . . damn i miss Vegas this time of year.

Welcome to the forum, I hope you enjoy your time here.

UNLV is getting some respect from Cyclone fans. It should be a great game.

Out of curiosity, does anybody know why we have played UNLV so much in the past decade. Seems random since it is so far away. Just curious about the connection.

I can only speculate that both parties enjoyed the 1999/2000 home-and-home and they decided to enter into another contract rather swiftly. It's worked out for us...we're 3-0 in those games.

1999 - W, 24-0
2000 - W, 37-22
2006 - W, 16-10

Defendthestreak.... care to enlighten upon the "streak" that your name suggests?

I'm not streak, but I believe it refers to the longest consecutive 3-Point basket made streak. UNLV has at least 1 3-PT basket in every game since the rule's inception.

After looking at those numbers I am noticing an unsettling trend...

That we win everytime? actually I notice it too, they cut 9 points off everytime, therefore we should lose by 3 this weekend. Looks like the spread is right on.

Good Luck Reblels, I agree about the injury free game, this is big one for both teams. I'm sure both teams would love to be 3-1.
