After all the flak Arnaud has taken this season, I think he deserves some props for how he played today. He went 20 of 28 for 189 yards and 4 TDs. More importantly, he had no turnovers. I saw two bad throws from him all game. He was also playing hurt. Congrats to him on the great performance.

Amen to that! Hail CPR! Scary to think what he will do when he has his players.

He played like everyone should expect him to for every game. He played like he should expect himself to play. Lets keep it up!

I won't say I hope he keeps it up, I expect it and know he will.

Tazclone and others who vehemently defended AA deserve credit , he gives ISU their best chance to win.......we'll see how the rest of the season plays out.

I was mentally questioning whether Arnaud could break through and have a good passing game. He sure did, made some great deep passes AND no turnovers!! He is our qb, keep it going agaist increasing competition.

I don't know what the hell they did with him and the rest of the offense this week in practice, but let's keep doing that.

Did he actually not stare down his primary receiver this week? I assume he finally figured that out because that's a lot of points, didn't see it, but I assume so, otherwise completely confused. I'll be a believer when I see him look to his second receiver.

The pass Arnaud threw early in the game that almost got picked was the game changer. Luckily our WR knocked it out of the guy's hands. From that point on, Arnaud was stellar.

No they didn't. Arnaud got DRILLED a handful of times. They played well in spurts, but played awful other times.

Woody's first few carries were blocked horribly as well. I would say that the O-line definitely played with more consistency tonight. But they weren't perfect & I don't think I would say they were dominating.

Dominating line NO..... Whats worse is Becki didnt show up at the TG :twitcy::cool:
Even soho showed up What gives?!?!

****** me off hearing the boos and the "We want Tiller" chants to start the game. Some fans need to get a clue. This shut them up quickly.

GREAT game to be at!!

People like to complain about Arnaud staring down receivers and locking onto guys, but in most cases it's just pure baloney. When you are throwing a 5 yard slant, you don't have time to make multiple reads. In our offense, most of our QB reads have to be made before the ball is even snapped. You look at where the corners, safeties, and LBs are lined up and you have to decide before you even get the ball from the center who your target is going to be. In those cases, you HAVE to stare down your receiver. If you want to complain about Austen's pre-snap reads, that's a whole different story. But I highly doubt that there are many on here who are qualified to make such judgments.

Given our offense's struggles, we just haven't taken many shots down the field this year until tonight. And when we have you will find interestingly enough that Austen does go through his progressions when necessary. You can't go through a progression of 2 or 3 receivers unless you are running some intermediate/deep routes and we just haven't run many this season. There were at least 2 or 3 times tonight where he went through his reads and decided to pull the ball down & run with it. I'm not saying that AA is perfect with his reads all of the time, but for the most part this idea of staring down guys or locking onto them is misguided.

We ran for 250 yards. OL obviously played great.

AA played freaking amazing. Best game of his career I think!
