This article only proves to me with this example that every fanbase has overly toxic kool-aid drinkers that somehow or another always rationalize their teams success.

Whole article pretty much makes it sound really really close, then says the talent level between Iowa and Iowa State is too great.....picks Iowa by 10!!!! I will just ask one question - will we hear about CJ's backup after this game?
 
You do realize that they are pretty much the Hawkeye WRNL?

Even at that, I think the article was pretty decent, and they are obviously going to have a Hawk slant.
 
Why do people continue to get so worked up about a write up from the other fanbase? Did you expect them to say that ISU is better?? Get over it.

QFT.

BHGP is the hawk WRNL, part comedy/satire/onion/hawkeye. Imo it's typically well written and funny (the few times I read it). They bag on ISU for the fun, not the serious...
 
Overall their fan base is always overconfindent against the Cyclones. Especially the large segment of their fan base that became hawk fans during the years when ISU made minimal investment in football and Iowa started rolling under Fry. This group mainly in the ages that range from 35 to 60 got spoiled by the 15 wins in a row and during that stretch most of the games just were not competitive. This group has a hard time accepting that ISU can play with and beat Iowa. As one Hawk fan who stopped by my office said today "Iowa should never ever lose to ISU". I just fired back told him the mid 90s are over. In 2015 that mindset and attitude is absolutely delusional.
 
It wasn't a very nuanced article. It read like a computer looked at a depth chart at wrote it.
 
Luke Peters? Combo of Levi Peters and Luke Knott?

Not sure this game will be very high scoring. Both teams offense is not as good as their defense.

It's called over compensating to cover your inadequacies. Natural human reaction for many people when they feel threatened. Hawks are sweating bullets right now, guarantee it.
