Good luck the rest of the way

Just wanted to stop by and say good luck the rest of the way, you guys have a great team even though you may not think so after tonight's game. Niang is a legit All-American. McKay is a stud. Morris is one of the best PGs in the country -- he just had a bad game tonight and I was honestly wondering if he was under the weather or something. Burton will continue to get better with more game time. Losing Naz is a big loss, but I have no doubt you'll adjust and be fine by March.

As for UNI, we did what we had to do to win. Hit 3s and let Washpun do his thing. I was having flashbacks to our game a couple years ago in the 2nd half when you guys started your comeback. Glad UNI came out on top, but wish the Cyclones well the rest of the season (unless we meet again in the NCAA Tournament).

Classy post. Have to give credit to UNI for shooting lights out. They sure have ISU's number for some reason. I don't think ISU has really played a good game in Wells Fargo yet. Maybe it will be a bad thing if we end up there in the NCAA's?

Washpun is a very good player for you guys, and Jespersen was just on fire. Tough to beat that. Good luck the rest of the way. Make this loss for ISU not look so bad come March.

Beating Iowa is nothing to be proud of. It should be a given. So should UNI though.

I don't think that ISU can play at Wells Fargo in March, since the university is hosting the event.

That's probably a good thing. We can't shoot in that building for whatever reason? Have we ever had a good shooting game in there?

too many players are "on fire" against us. It's been that way for far too long. When is this ******** going to even itself out?? It's not like they aren't being guarded. It's insane. Teams make everything against us. At some point, the rain will stop falling and when it equals out, we are going to kill teams.
 
Sorry, but losing to UNI is huge deal. No knock on UNI, but losing to an unranked team that'll struggle to make the dance "isn't ok".
Just resets expectations which is a good thing. As others have posted, we finish 3, maybe 4 in the B12.
 
I wish I could be the gracious in defeat, but I can't. **** UNI. I hate playing you ****ers.

Yeah we were off from three point range tonight but we shot 52.5% from the field, that should be good enough to win. Our 1st half defense was garbage and they hit some tough shots on top of it, just one of those nights where it finally caught up with us.

When your 52% is mostly 2's and their 50+% is mostly threes, you gonna lose that battle every time. :)
 
I'm sorry but they shot out their *** tonight. Plain and simple. Honesty, that's what they had to do to win the game. On top of that we shot horribly from 3 so it was a perfect storm for UNI.
 
UNI is pasty soft in the paint, if teams figure that out they'll be a .500 team. We didnt, so kudos to them for the win.
 
Bottom line, it's a really bad loss. UNI came into Saturday having lost two of their last three games by a combined 34 points to Richmond and New Mexico.

I think the funny part is that people are surprised by this. They did the same **** two years ago and you knew they were doing to do it today. They'll go play middle southwest Missouri central lakes college tech next week and lose but when they play the Cyclones they have a player that will make the announcer go "This is a part of his game he's never shown and has a career high in all stats". It's just how they play.
