Gonzaga to join the Big 12?

UConn isn't coming if they can't bring football.

Creighton? Marquette?

If we are going full super basketball conference, we should go after Villanova, St Johns, and Georgetown to go to 20. Gets the Philly, DC, and NYC TV market for a basketball conference.

Combine those three with WV and Cincy and you've got half the old Big East

But I like the new Big East.

:(

Well then, good news. Going to have a combined league w them for bball. Eventually.

16 B12 + 11 Big East + say 5 ACC schools when that blows up...

= 32

That isn't a "conference" anymore. That's a league. That equals the # of NFL and NHL teams.

Might as well organize it as four conferences of eight and have some sort of combined playoff.

Honest question— do people out east really tune in for Georgetown and St John’s games? Seems like those brands might be pretty low on the list for sports fans out east.

Not when they play Butler. But if Kansas, Arizona, etc came to town the national writers who live in those areas would cover it.
