Trying to decide which courses to go to this week while im on vacation. I'm usually a 10-15 over par golfer so not really concerned with difficulty and money is not a concern either. Already planning on going to Brooks National but wondering what people think about the others ie: Okoboji View, Emerald Hills, Indian Hills...

thanks in advance!

I prefer Indian Hills.

My go to is usually Brooks because you get a little variety. Emerald Hills, though is a better course. I was over there the other day and it looked pretty pure. Quick greens and some fun holes. You would enjoy either of those. Indian Hills and Okoboji view are also good tracks. Really, everything over there is good. I would play the first two if you can. Also, Spencer golf and Country club is an awesome course if you can get on it. I am not sure but I think if you don't live in the area you can play it on greens fees. At least you used to be able to. It is very straight forward and in awesome shape. It will likely be playing tough because they just had the NWIA Amateur. You really can't go wrong playing any of those.

Brooks has then old 18 plus the new 9. Good course and fun to play.

I remember Emerald all to well, my golf ball that day seemed to like the shade. Good course. I agree that Spencer G&CC is also worth playing.

well just set up a tee time tonight at Indian Hills because they have (get this) after 4pm on mondays they have 20 bucks for all you can play WITH a cart... doesnt beat that in my book

Emerald is probably the toughest course in the area these days. If you are not in the middle of the fairway, the trees are in play on every hole. They lost 75 trees in the storm a couple of weeks ago but you can't even tell. The greens were like putting on the windshield of a car. Indian is much more relaxing to play but Brooks is my favorite.

Par 3 course at The Inn. Arguably the worst golf course in the state, if not the region or country. But for a hacker like me who just wants to go for a walk and drink beer, it's PERFECT!

Wait, what? I thought that was just like three holes where you warm up before you go golfing somewhere. That is a course back there?
