Giving Tuesday

Great thread. Always people who are in need.

A lot of times your community Facebook/Reddit page will have people that need something as simple as shoes.

Also, if you're able to, please consider donating blood.
Nationwide used to give Half Day time off for giving blood, I wish more companies would do some similar. Not sure if they still do.

If you ever have any event tickets you feel like donating, Big Brother Big Sister would most likely love to have them. We were able to go to a chiefs game, a concert, and various ISU events because of some generous donations. Really helps to open eyes about the world out there, and the great Iowa State campus.

Giving?? F that…. this is America!!! Long prosper Consumerism and Christmas!!

Just kidding…. lighten up! Please give to your favorite local charity…. lots!!

Nationwide still must be the sponsor of the RV that goes to Deere, Danfoss, churches, etc.
I've donated in it before, nice setup.

I'll do that as long as I can. Why? Simply because I can.

For the past few years, I've waited until around now to do some annual donations. They usually are part of a donor match, and no big deal if they aren't, which helps the recipient organization AND allows me to feel like I've done something good for others.

About 20 years ago I saw some puffer coats at the grocery store for cheap so I bought them and dropped them off at the Open Door Mission.

Since then every year at about this time I buy some new stuff to give the mission. I bought some men's and women's flannel shirts this year. Probably drop them off tomorrow.
