so I am standing up in a wedding in December and I was wondering what to get the groom... 3 of us guys in the wedding are good friends and want to get the groom something nice, not a membership to the dollar shave club. Any ideas?? Thanks!

FWIW I've been in several weddings including my own and nobody has ever given a gift to the groom, nor has it ever been mentioned. Guys usually don't care about that stuff.

Favorite expensive liquor, maybe in a decanter (sp?). Golf clubs, golf membership. Some sort of trip, season sports tickets, single game tickets. Something like a PS4 so you can contribute to the marriage's demise? Hahaha

Yeah, his gift should be later that night. And if you're the one giving it to him, then his marriage is definately doomed.

I'd just go with a bottle of a liquor he likes, or honestly just tell him golfing and drinks on you some time. I'd rather have a buddy treat me to something fun than get me a gift.

Not sure what you want to spend. Something like a watch or maybe something he can take his wife to with a gift card, restaurant, nice hotel, movies, etc.?

Yeah, I've never heard of a gift for the groom, but rather just vise versa. Nevertheless, my favorite gift I received from a groom for being part of the wedding party was a set of argyle Cyclone dress socks which we all wore during the wedding. While it wasn't fancy or expensive, it was fun for all of us to match with them and worked well in some good photo-ops. I say this as I imagine you could flip it and give a set to the groom. However, you may be thinking of something much nicer.

Couple of years ago a few of us groomsmen went in and got the groom a JTS blown up picture.

These are the hands-down best ISU bag chairs in the marketplace. Maybe he would like this. I know I would. However, I've never seen them sold anyplace outside of Theisens. One downside of doing something like a JTS picture is that the wife might or might not be too crazy about it at all. However, nobody is going to put the nix on a solid bagchair and you can never really have too many of them.

Any wife that puts the nix on a freaking JTS picture is no wife I want, that's for sure.

A Camaro. He would appreciate that. Well maybe that is too much. How about an annual subscription to netflix? Just keeps giving.

Your gift to the groom is supposed to be an awesome bachelor party with all the alcohol he can drink and then some.

My gift to my buddy getting married next weekend was paying the cab driver an extra $150 because he puked all over the back seat the night of his bachelor party

You have to buy the groom something? I thought making the trip, paying for a hotel and a suit/tux was enough. Now groomsmen have to buy gifts, too? That stinks.

Do people do this? If so, **** my groomsmen, two of which are active members of this site.
