Cyclones.com only lists the Iowa game as being televised nationally. Will that be my only chance to see the Cyclones from St. Louis?

Any game listed on TBS will be national.

Any game listed on FSN should be carried by FSN Midwest, which I believe is the FSN of choice in St. Louis.

Where ABC is concerned, St. Louis is in kind of a toss-up area between the Big 12 and Big Ten markets. However, I have to believe that St. Louis will get the Big 12 regional game (if there is one) over the Big Ten. That's not necessarily so in central Iowa, where Big 12 South games on ABC are often bumped for Big Ten games.

i thought they moved the Toledo game to Thursday night so it would be nationally televised????????????????

If memory serves me correctly, FSN and TBS don't fill out the late season televised games until they know which games will be important for the Big XII division titles.

I live in STL as well, and FSN will always defer to Missouri if they are on. Booya - whereabout in STL do you live?

What was the point on moving this game to Thursday night? To ensure it was televised by Mediacom Channel 22??? I figured this would make ESPN/ESPN2...

ISU will never play on ESPN @ home...as the Big 12 does not have a contract with ESPN.

The game was moved to Thursday to avoid what Pollard anticipated would be poor attendence on Labor Day weekend. I think they had planned a night game all along and felt Thursday night was a better bet than Saturday.

Really...I didn't know that about ESPN.

And are you trying to tell me that the AD was PLANNING AHEAD and actually thought about this well in advance??? What a refreshing change...

There are also four other games being played on Thursday night. Most of the time only one or two games might be played, but ISU is up against other teams with either the same or bigger fan bases.

To make sure fans didn't skip a game to leave central Iowa for the long weekend. Good call, IMO.

ESPN can carry Big XII games on Thursday night. Nebraska played on ESPN's Thursday night game 2 or 3 years ago.

The ESPN can't carry the Big XII is an ISU myth. They (ESPN) must think that there is a better game to show on Aug 31th.

Sure...and ISU played Army on ESPN as well...but it was AT Army. That's the key...the Big 12 teams can play on ESPN, just not at home.

The game was moved to Thursday night not to interfear with people's labor day plans. In the past labor day weekend hurt attendance to home games. JP said if it doesn't work it will go back to Saturday.
