First Timer in G7 Parking-
Tell me about G7 Parking Lot.

Please expand on questions, such as:
Is it younger/family friendly crowd?
Is it just a "parking spot for the extra car" and most people walk and "tailgate" in the paved lots?
Is it packed to the gills?
Does everyone park in the front? or in the back?
Is there any? shade trees?
sufficient porta-johns?
Huge pain the get out after the game?
Is one area "Muddier" that others?- to avoid?
Does it fill up early?

Go State!!

It's plenty family friendy. Some tailgates are rowdier than others.
Many, many, many people tailgate there but some also park and walk.
It will be packed, but it takes time to fill up.
If it's like years past, parking attendants will park you, starting closest to the driveway and working backward to the far end of the lot.
Zero shade.
Generally not sufficient porta-johns once the lot starts to fill up in the 2-3 hours before game time. Plan for a 10-15 minute wait in line.
How painful it is to get out depends on how fast you get back after the game ends.
Mud is a crapshoot. I'd guess there would be some tomorrow given today's rain. I can't say where it's usually worst, but the first few rows usually has its share of mud as they are the most used sections.
The first few rows will fill in early and the rest will fill up over the next few hours. I don't think you have to worry about not getting a spot or anything like that, but the closer you arrive to gametime the farther away you will be.

There is one way in and one way out and the G6 and Haunted Forest are right near the exit. Either haul ass to your vehicle after the game and beat the crowd or just hang out for a while unless you want to wait in line in your car for a while.

I parked there for a long time and finally upped donation and moving to paved parking, but I'll miss the grass and atmosphere out there. If you show up early you will be closer to the "front" of the lot where the bigger tailgates and parties are. It's pretty packed with tailgaters up there. The later you show up the closer to the "back" (golf course) you'll get and the tailgating gets a little more sparse, but you'll probably have more space to set up your tailgate. Usually it's not too bad waiting for a porta potty, but it gets pretty busy and gross as gametime approaches. Of course you can just bring a tarp and throw it over an opened car door and you have your own Porta potty!

This. Unless it's late at night, we usually hang out, maybe even fire up the grill again and eat some more. It takes the lot an hour or three to clear, so why not wait out the rush?
