Assuming we do in fact stick at 10 teams here in our conference, I started thinking about how this could benefit us a lot when it comes to the conference tournament action. Losing the football championship in Dallas but keeping the BB tourney in KC is always a major plus for us in taking over to Hilton South.

Also, I got thinking how the tournament itself would be setup with 10 teams and this is what I came up with. Based seedings on previous tournaments and the idea that the top 8 teams should be the last 8 teams in the tournament.

One of the biggest advantages to this now is that 6 teams will wait to play until the second day. IIRC, no team had ever won the tournament who had to play all four days. This is how I see it working, but just some of my random thoughts at 2:15 am. On the downside, 10 of our 18 conference wins in the past 4 years came against NU and CU but Im sure CFH will get us on the right track to move into one of (my theoretical) Thursday games

It looks like we'll be the ones along with TT in the play-in games unless things turn around in the next two years.

I feel by the time this does take effect (if it does to to a setup like this) we can be competing to make it into one of those top 6 spots
