I have been a Windows user my whole life, but edit a lot of photos. Every review I read says that Macs are better for it, so I recently got a MacBook.

…I love it, now that I have figured out the file structure. I may never go back.

Are you a PC or a Mac? Linux, other?

PC and android for me. We do have some Macbooks in the house and I've always thought they were well thought out. Like when the dog is running around and runs thru the cord connection but its magnetized so the laptop doesn't tumble off the coffee table.

I've never used a Windows laptop that was even close to as good as the MacBooks I've had. That said I could never only use a Mac, mostly due to gaming, so Windows desktop always.

Always been a windows PC guy, although I have started to dabble a bit into Linux for fun. Mac's are great, just never appealed to me personally.

Gone Mac for about 10 years now.

They're fine but the lifespan vs. cost is pretty ****** imo but that goes for a lot of things.

Windows, never had a Mac. Bought both of my kids Macs for ISU and both have told me they wish they had PCs instead. ISU store said business majors would be heavy MAC and they are wrong my kids say.

Have an iPhone 8 due to my Nexus breaking too often and needing one immediately and only apple could get me a phone quick.

I'm more PC because that what I get at work. I'd like to have a Mac for work. I do have a Mac at home, but I spend way more time on my work computer.

PC and Android user. We don't have any Apple products in our household. So have a Chromebook and kids have Amazon Kindle Fire tablets. I do run Linux Mint on an old desktop PC that I use to stream TV and media from in my garage as I'm too cheap to just buy a smart TV for the garage that I don't use much. The TV I have out there the HDMI port no longer works so I have it connected to the PC through VGA which tells you just how cheap I have gone with that setup.

I’ve had iPhones/iPads/iPods forever but have never owned an apple computer. I can’t see ever buying one either. Our home laptop gets turned on once a month for the budget and that’s it. The kids have chromebooks at school.

I've only been Windows both at work and at home. But have only owned IPhones so the interconnenction issues seem to be getting worse. I keep telling myself I should get the Apple laptop or tablet but then I see the price and don't jump.

Just got a new laptop with W11 and stuff seems more bloaty than ever. Can't even get it to allow me to run the Firefox download since it doesn't come from the Microsoft App store. Just seems really weirdly set up and needlessly different (worse) than W10.

PC, it’s all I’ve ever had to use.

For phone, I prefer Android, but my wife likes Apple, so I’m kinda stuck with an apple phone.

Mac user at home and work. Been Mac at home for 10 years and work for 3. Mainly go that route due to how I use iCloud with parental controls etc to manage the kids since all are on iPhones. Plus the ability to airplay my MacBook on my TV for meetings or spreadsheet work is a new thing I’m addicted to now.

In regards to photo and video the stock apps on a Mac are great for editing and creating for a base user like me. As a single dad I have to force myself to make videos, albums, etc or I won’t have the memories with the kids to look back on if I don’t do it and the MacBook makes those processes so easy for me.

To me it’s a personal preference. I’m so used to Mac now that I can’t function in a PC the same as a PC user struggles in a Mac.

Windows and Android. Couple reasons. First I'm an engineer and use AutoCAD daily and while it's recently available on MacOS it's not as mature as the Windows version. Second, Steve Jobs was such a P.O.S. that I don't think I could ever give him or his company/legacy a cent.

As far as the Android choice goes, I started with WebOS (and I still maintain that it was the best mobile OS of its day). When it started dying Google hired most of the engineers and added most of the good stuff to Android. So I moved to Android when I couldn't get a webOS device any longer. Apple/iPhone didn't catch up with where webOS was when it died for 3 or 4 generations. (and Steve Jobs was an ass).

I've used Macs since the '90's, both for work and personally. But since around Y2K I've always had to use PCs for work. I even bought a PC laptop once to run some non-Mac applications. I don't know how anyone ever accomplishes anything on a PC without a full time IT support staff. Just junk, IMHO, especially on the creative side.
