Our farm was the only one on our mile of gravel road so I had quite a few impromtu parties. We mostly stayed outside or in the basement so spills were pretty easy to take care of.
The worst one was during the 4th of July. Someone tossed firecrackers into THE cookie bowl (it was an old tupperware bowl, but it had one and only one purpose) and burned a hole in it. I had to destroy the evidence and still hear about it to this day from my family.
Also, at the same party, the cattle, spooked by fireworks, broke through the fence and got out and into the cornfields. Fortunately, there were a bunch of farm kids there that sprang into action. Within 30 minutes, the cattle were back in and the drinking resumed.
