What rivalry traditions do you have for Iowa St/Iowa week?

No traditions specific to this week, but after every Iowa State game, I call my dad so that we can talk about it. We used to watch games together occasionally, but that ended when he came over to watch Georges and company get ran out of Morgantown. Not saying it was his fault, but one can never be too sure lol

I’m not friends with anybody who went to Iowa and are fans, so nothing special, it’s just another game.

Win or lose, I always look out before leaving the house to make sure the derelict Pantherhawk next door isn’t outside. He’s a jerk either way. He cursed out one of my kids when he was in kindergarten for wearing a Cyclone shirt.

I always try to have a good bloody Mary somewhere.
Welch Ave Station, Mullets, etc.

Living in Cedar Rapids I go out of my way to wear ISU gear during Cy-Hawk week. Interestingly enough the Hawks are pretty quiet and reserved this week. Save a few mouth breathers that think they still have a Heisman QB and several NFL lineman.

Not gonna lie, I've reached the point where I hate this week.
I’m torn. I think it is a big rivalry and don’t want it to end, but I also just hate it because it brings out the worst in everyone.

My parents (also Iowa State fans) have started coming up to Wisconsin games when Wisconsin’s plays at home during this week just to avoid it.

I actually gave my ticket to the Iowa-Wisconsin game to a friend because I “don’t like who I become”

None, any more. From 2002-2013 I was at the site of the game every single year. I've only been once since.

It was a personal holiday, for a long, long time but getting older, having more responsibilities, and living farther from Ames and Iowa City just kinda changes all that.

No tradition. I'll grill out tomorrow and enjoy a day of football from the couch.

Agree. Office is muted all week. Only Iowa shirt today is my biz partner, who graduated from Iowa around 1978. He is the only other Iowa grad in the company besides me (MBA to go with my ISU AeroE BS).
