Chicago Cub Reed Johnson's heroics overshadowed by Zambrano's tantrum -- chicagotribune.com

Infielder Ryan Freel will be the latest Cub to go on the disabled list on Thursday after pulling his left hamstring during Wednesday's game.

Bobby Scales, who was sent down to Triple-A Iowa before the game, along with left-hander Neal Cotts, will be called back up on Friday.

"Scales isn't too far," Piniella said. "He can catch a taxi back from the airport."

Nice quote from Lou. I thought Scales would be back soon, but I didn't think it would be this soon.

I'm convinced that Lou would trade Miles, Freel, Gregg & Heilman for a bottle of scotch, a bat, and a pinata in the image of Carlos Zambrano.

What kind of scotch? If it's anything good you may have to throw in a player to be named later.

I'm pretty sure that if Lou could rid himself of Miles inability to hit the ball out of the infield, Freel's frantic overreactions to everything around him, Gregg's persistent attempts to blow every opportunity he's ever given and Heilman's curious obsession with watching opposing batters take ball four, Lou would probably settle for bottom shelf gin.

Please get rid Miles, Gregg and Heilman NOW. Then you can work on getting Patton and Freel out of here as well
