anyone heard the lastest rumors of where guys like Adam Dunn, Bobby Abreu, Milton Bradley, Derek Lowe, etc are going?

i know the cubs are trying hard to get Bradley and i think if he can keep his ego in check he would be the perfect bat that the cubs have been looking for in the middle of that lineup

It sounds like the top suitors for Bradley are the Cubs and the Rays. Last I knew, the Yankees were still after Lowe. They want to sign one of Lowe, Sheets, or Pettitte I'm pretty sure.

I haven't heard a thing about Dunn, which is surprising. Last I heard anything about Abreu is that the White Sox have the inside track (probably because of the Venezuelan connection with Ozzie). That is assuming that Jermaine Dye is traded, though. Abreu is very attractive because he wasn't offered arbitration, so the team who signs him wouldn't have to give up any draft pick compensation.

Bradley - 90% sure it would be Cubs, could be Rays. He really wants to go to the Cubs but likes the ability to DH from time to time with the Rays
Dunn - will be a fall back guy for ALOT of teams, could go anywhere, depends on Manny, Texiera, etc
Abreu- Phillies or Rays, maybe Cubs
Lowe - Red Sox or Yankees. maybe rangers

okay.. seems like the free agent market really hasnt had anything happen in a few days so i was wondering. Abreu or Bradley would be great for the cubs.

if by some chance Texiera actually went to the Nationals would they still go after Dunn? because i have heard they are after him as well... that would be a solid 3, 4 for that team to go with zimmermann, dukes, milledge, and willingham. that would be a team that probably cant contend, but could steal some wins in that division. they really need pitching though. John Lannan as your opening day starter isnt an attractive propostion... although Shawn Hill is alright if he can stay healthy, Scott Olsen could end up being a solid lefty. Detwiler looks like a big time prospect... could be in the rotation sometime in 2008 i think.

idk why i talked so much about the nats, but they would be my favorite team if it wasnt for the cubbies lol

The Nationals have plenty of corner outfielders so IF they were going to get Texiera they won't go for Dunn, their needs would be at CF, look for them to go after Taveres? (the CF released from the Rockies).

For the most part, the market will really fall into place when Texiera signs, you will see alot more action after that...
