I posted this in the off topic forum, however, since it is football tailgating related I thought this might get more feedback faster here.

Newest tailgating investment is a flag pole and stand this year, however, I am looking for some feedback. Any fanatics have experience with a decent telescopic flag pole and wheel stand.

My wife bought me this one(see link below of 19ft) however, the stand tends to flex more than I would like, even with a light breeze tonight. My concern is the stand flexing and the pole hitting my car with the winds up at Jack. The pole itself is well made, however, the stand is the weak link.

Anyone have a setup they would recommend? Perhaps one with an aluminum flag stand rather than a fiberglass stand?

Any thoughts appreciated.

I got a aluminum pole from Heartland flag pole and flags. wind barely pushes it around. Well worth the money.

I think it was actually that model. Just put it on the side of your car that pushes it away from your vehicle when the wind blows. I never felt like it was insecure when using it last year, even during some windy tailgates.

I was surprised how well that pole worked.

You could try getting an umbrella stand from Menards/Lowes/Home Depot and see if that works, not sure if they would hold a 2 inch diameter pole though
