Just got an e-mail from the Iowa Lottery that they're having a "Fly With Cy", contest again this year, and it's going to Austin!!
I was lucky enough to win last year, so I doubt I have much of a chance, but still try, must I!!!
If I do get lucky, I pretty sure I'll sell the plane tix and cruise down I-35. I'm a big guy and didn't fit very well on the charter they had set up. That's not their fault, though. I was also a little disappointed we were so far from the Strip, although that probably saved a few hundred in gambling losses... My wife had never been, so it was a cool experience for her no matter what.
All in all, it was a great time. The new stadium is sweet, and was right across the street from our hotel. We kicked some serious butt, albeit over struggling and rebuilding program. Maybe we should consider adding the Rebels and maybe even Hawaii. They'd both be nice destination trips every other year or so, and joining our conference might help them beef up recruiting and attendance to the point they're more competitive.
Anyway, for the average sized people, Texas should be a blast and one last chance to watch us kick their behinds on the turf. If you see Earl Campbell, tell him BDS says hi, I think he'll know who I am.
