I'm looking into buying a FitBit, Jawbone, Nike FuelBand, etc. They all seem to offer pretty much the same features and all of the ones I've looked at have been between in the $100-150 price range. Any of you use any of these and have a suggestion?

Wife had a VivoFit for a month or two and it worked ok but the app was terrible. Syncing from the watch to the app was a process in itself and not easy. Switched to a FitBit and says it is light years ahead. Everything about it compared to the VivoFit seems more well thought-out.

I have the Vivofit, and I like it. I see the previous comment about the app, but I don't see it being that hard to sync, all you need is bluetooth enabled on your phone. It works really well for me, because I also have a Garmin GPS watch to track my runs, and the Garmin Connect website lets me track everything together for both, plus it syncs with MyFitnessPal which I have used for a couple of years to track my food intake.

My wife has a Fitbit, and she really likes that too, so i can't say I have anything bad to say about that product. She likes the simplicity of that one. Ultimately, just go through the reviews online, that is what I did. I think it all comes down to what features you think are most important to you.

I have a Soleus device and I like it. The wife has a Fitbit and its much better then mine.

I have a FitBit Flex. It's just the basic model. I love it. Syncing with the app is easy and it tracks everything I want. Exercise, steps, and sleep. Only problem is knowing what mode you are in since there is no display, just blinking lights. Otherwise I love it.

Misfit Shine. 3 month battery life and a good app. Lots of placement options but for me the wrist seems to give the best accuracy. YMMV.

GF has a fitbit one. She seems to really enjoy it and it still works after going through the washing machine once.
