Feldman's CFB Top 50 Freaks

This whole thing seems strange to me. Our coaching staff are the only ones that have been giving the info about McDonald. He is on list all over the place and has barely played a game. The games he did play he didn't get all that many snaps.

This means the coaching staff is high enough on him that they are promoting him. All of the writers have been told by coaches. None have really said they saw him and he was being a freak...they all said stuff like a little birdie told me. Crazy to think about

It's July filler. I wouldn't think about this too hard.

In your day they were the most technologically advanced shoe there was though. :p

Careful with those "old man" quotes...I resemble that remark. For the record, we wore Chuck Taylor's in 7th grade, but had moved on to the leather Converse high tops in 8th grade.

Well, Coach Naismith used to chew me out for taking too long to lace up my leathers. But then, they did go up past mid-calf.

Little industry knowledge for you. Guys like Feldman have contacts at all the major programs and they essentially send mass messages out asking for names that should be considered for an all-freak list. They compile from there.

That makes a lot of sense. A little quid pro quo situation. Feldman gets to produce something sure to garner a lot of eyeballs and the school gets a chance to promote one/some of their players.

Right this was kind of my point. They gave him will's name even though they could have picked anyone else. The actual article doesn't really mean anything to me. The fact the contacts at ISU must be so high on him without seeing him play there before that is the interesting thing

41. Will McDonald, Iowa State, linebacker
One of the more coveted prospects Matt Campbell has brought to Ames, the 6-4, 230-pound Wisconsin native has a 6-9 wingspan and a 35-inch vertical jump. The redshirt freshman is expected to be Iowa State’s starting Sam linebacker. He actually played in four games last year as a defensive end before getting a redshirt. In his first career snap vs. TCU, he got up the middle to sack the QB and forced a fumble that led to a touchdown.

In high school, he was all-state in football and basketball, where he averaged 18.3 points and 12.8 rebounds. He actually never played football until his junior year of high school. In track, he won the state discus title with a throw of 179-9 and was third in the high jump with a leap of 6-4. He won the discus while doing it in a pair Chuck Taylors no less.
Interesting, that freak is an ok word to use nowadays, and gorilla is out. Reminds me of the Big (Transfer) Guy, whom the whole forum was on a 3 month watch waiting for him to show up on campus, couple of years back. Then nothing. Nothing. There was a catchy name for him, but don't remember what it was.

Should I admit to buying shoes from the actual Chuck Taylor?

Ease up, Dolph. No one gives a f*** around here.

I give this a 7/10 on the snow flake scale.
