What do you spose the chances are they turn around and re-trade him. I can see the Vikings taking and saying we'll give you what you gave up and a little more..

this was talked about extensively on 810 sports (kc) today. apparently the commish was VERY involved in the process, making sure this was not the case. making sure a team wasnt going to get him for 2 draft picks and turn around and sell him to the vikings for 3 draft picks. (since the packers wouldnt trade him to MN directly)

word in kc was that if he went to the jets, herm was going to be in hot pursuit of pennington. herm always loved chad. and now...

As Dinger said... I think the Commish will step in and make sure that this doesn't happen.

I can't remember what the word was they used on ESPN last night, but there is a special rule that you can designate what a team does with a player once you trade him there.

They were pretty sure that GB would have this clause put in that he couldn't be traded to any NFC North team after he was traded the first time.

I think it is called a poison pill contract. GB can put something in the trade that if he plays more games in MN than NY that they get additional picks or cash from NY.

thats cool. i had not heard of this. good policy though... for this exact situation.

GB better hope that Aaron is not injured. Brett played like a warrior since 1992. Aaron was already banged up last year. Brohm will be searching how to play well till the end of the season. Big roll of the dice by the front office. They must have long term contracts left.

Simply put. The Packers need to find out this season if Rodgers can lead a team, if not they don't waste money on a long term contract.

This is not about this season for the Packers. This is about the next 5+ seasons. This team is very young and talented and is setup to succeed for a few years.
