I started playing Madden around 2001, though played a Madden '94 on Sega occasionally while at a cousin's house.

Thought it would be fun to discuss everyone's favorite players to use in their time playing Madden.

For me:
Eddie George in Madden '01
Fred Taylor and MJD in Madden '07 (both were 89 overall in the Jaguars)
Michael Vick obviously in any version

I can't remember if it was Madden '91 or '92, but the Eagles with Eric Allen and Wes Hopkins were amazing. It was tough to throw against those guys, lots of INTS. Eric Allen lined up on the end of the line for PATs, and was super fast, so you could block those fairly often, too.

Edit: it must have been later because wikipedia says they didn't have official licensing until '93. I know I played this in high school, though. Weird.

I don't remember the year but I remember trading for Adrian Peterson in his prime and just trucking everyone. The only problem was like in real life he fumbled a couple times every game.

I remember a lot of Cowboys vs Packers games on 64, the version I probably played the most. Tried to play it again a couple years ago and it was almost unplayable.

Tyreek Hill. The speed is a cheat code. Mike Vick was similar at the quarterback spot until they added some contain and spy options

Haven't played much Madden in recent years. I have a copy of '20 but have probably played in less than 10 times. Something about being a kid must make these games more fun, or they've just ruined them over time.

My Madden hay day was probably the '04 and '05 versions. Vick was on one of the covers and was a monster. I can't remember when the Texans started as a team, maybe '02? I remember starting a Dynasty with them and throwing hail mary's to Andre Johnson all game every game. Fun stuff.
