I am in a keeper league, and we get to keep three players. I've got 2 I know I want to keep for sure, but I'm unsure about the 3rd. Would you keep Jeremy Hill or Mike Evans? There are not as many good RB's as good WR's so that makes me think I should keep Hill, but I feel like Mike Evans has the potential to be a top 3-5 fantasy WR. Also, it's not a PPR league. Who would you keep?

Helps to know your other 2 keepers, and starting positions. If you are already keeping a top 5 RB, I'd say keep Evans. If you're already keeping top tier 1 WR's, I'd say keep Hill.

Wow, 3 seems like a lot. What are your rules? Do you get to use another high draft pick if you don't keep someone?

Who else do you have?

Hill has been very effective but all it takes is for Cinci's coaches to fall in love with Gio Bernards pass catching ability and you have a short yardage specialist.

Agree with peteypie. But just from the info provided I'd say Hill no doubt. It's a non PPR league and who is gonna be throwing the ball to Evans next year? (Yes I understand you could say that about this year, but it may be a rookie next year.)

IMO if they loved it so much he wouldn't have lost the job to Hill in the first place.

Yeah if Tampa does go with Mariota I would be a bit skeptical. He might not be very good off the bat... or ever. So many spread QBs have done nothing in the NFL.

I know. I had Gio.

I think Hill would be a good keeper, just wondering about the rules. If he has to give up a 2nd round pick for him or something then it may or may not be worth it.

I was about to say Hill and it's a no brainer, until I looked at Evans numbers (among all receivers - RBs, TEs included):

tied for 4th in TDs

19th in yards

But he did that with only 68 receptions(!) that's tied for 36th. That's the same number of catches Pierre Garcon had. He didn't even lead the team in catches - V-Jax did with 70. I would evaluate your other keepers, because if Tampa gets a QB then Evans numbers could be even better next season.

Is there ever a pattern of like a sophomore slump with WRs? I just wonder if defenses start paying more attention to guys like Evans and OBJr and their production goes down?

Usually WRs don't blow up as rookies and get better in year two. OBJr will definitely get more defensive attention next year though. Might not matter.

That's really the only unique thing about the league. Everyone has to keep 3 and it doesn't affect the draft picks.

Other keepers are Andrew Luck and Gronk

Hill. There are so many solid WRs you'll be able to zero in on during the draft that are as good or better than Evans, RB is a much tougher ticket. Even if Hill is a RB2, it looks like he'll be their primary back moving forward and I'd definitely rather have that slot filled going in.

If you just keep 3 and draft picks aren't involved then I think Hill is worth it.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I was leaning towards keeping Hill but this makes me feel better about it

Hill might be a first round pick next year. Or worst case a 2nd round.

Theres very few Tampa Bay players I'd keep in a keeper league. It's just a bad organization.
