Is anyone else enjoying the Facebook meltdowns that are going on right now? I am not saying I'm happy that Iowa lost but some of these fans are just going nuts.

LOL, no kidding. Apparently fans are supposed to be like, "Hey guys, good job, ya'll gave it a go!"

ISU fans don't meltdown. No sir. Never see anything like that on this board. And never see anything like that on facebook following a loss.

Iowa State fans have a grad degree in melting down.
It's just funny to watch another fan base do it.

Well when Iowa win I get about 3,000 posts that say
'go hawks!! woohoo!'. It's usually from people who probably couldn't even name a player... and now it's like the game didn't even happen. The faithful

At least I won't hear anymore this week about the media/BCS conspiracy to keep the Hawks out of the national title game, so that's nice.

As opposed to the conspiracy theories floating around here all week last week that it was in the Big 10 best interests to give Iowa the conference championship? Along with the theory that Stanzi could get hurt and it wouldn't matter. Granted, that was just one persons opinion, but that proved to be just as false.

Stanzi wasn't playing worth a damn before he got hurt. Not at all convinced that Iowa would have won that game with him. Iowa doesn't have the offense to be a national title contender, and yesterday proved that.

He wasn't playing worth a damn? He had 134 yards passing and a TD in the first quarter and had led Iowa on two scoring drives.

WTF????

Imagine how many points the 1st string QB of NW could have dished out above their final score... Imagine.

No kidding- probably 60 or 70. I mean, afterall he did play 3/4's of the game and threw for an amazing 72 yards on 18 passes. With those 4 or 5 series he sat out when Persa was in, he would have easily thrown for 6 or 7 TD's. Thanks to Fitzgerald for taking it easy on us yesterday.

Did you happen to already forget about the 44% completion rate and the TWO turnovers - one of which produced a TD for the opponent. Seems to me that the earlier poster has a valid argument for not playing worth a damn.
