And remember that this is for our entertainment. These kids play because they love the game just like we do. I know lots of us donate money, time, etc to this so we feel like we can **** and moan, and you can. Just remember how bad it was 15 years ago at ISU. Remember that losing a game is not that important. Nobody died, the sun came up today, you still have family, friends, and kids. Win, lose or draw remember that your life does not revolve around a f-ing game.

Whine and complain, that's your right and part of the purpose of this site, but don't get personal and try and stay classy.

you can all now tell me to shut up if you like.

See, thats the problem. Losing to UNI does exactly that and makes people go 'how far have we really come?'. The fanbase has certainly come miles, but has the program?

Now that's a healthy outlook - and most folks who share this view on ISU football don't donate $$ or probably even buy tickets...they sit at home, watch the game on TV, and then shrug and smile. If our entire fan base was like this, we'd be Div. III.

I guess some people just don't mind losing.....

You just have to beat UNI when at home. This will be a joke for years in state.

I've been a season ticket holder for 9 years now, but games like last night's are why I don't donate. Others can chastise me if you wish but I won't donate until I can go into a game against an FCS opponent and not feel like the outcome is a toss-up.

Hey, im 40 and I played high level high school football. I could easily out coach and out recruit and obviously outplay these clowns. If i want to scream and yell about college aged kids not being up to my athletic standards, I can.

not srs.

Same feelings here.

If I felt that more money would help, I'd do it, but last night was a prime example of why money doesn't necessarily equate to more wins. UNI's entire athletic department is barely surviving. They have no money whatsoever. They don't have the great facilities we have. They don't have the weightroom we have. They don't have all the highly paid coaches that we do.

Yet, they walk into Jack Trice last night and put a whooping on us. More money is not the problem. ISU is doing fine money-wise. Especially compared to UNI. That is not the issue. I would give more if I thought it would help, but last night once again proved to me that it doesn't.

ah i am pretty relaxed; i just accepted this offense has no moxy and they are just not tough enough to play winning football. they had 9 months since tulsa to get the offense where it could consistenly drive the ball and could not get er done. not much is gonna change in 2 weeks compared to the last 9 months. i watched the iowa game; they are decent and will run the ball down our throats. their oline is huge; they do have poor coaching also on the offensive side but it wont matter against us. get up a touchdown or two and lean on the defense. our offense has no toughness; north dakota state now that is a tough team; never gave up against ksu; just kept moving the chains.

But Farley demands more from his players day in and day out - you can tell. In the weight room, on the practice field, in games. I'd bet he's been a terror, coming off that losing season. And yes, they were also the better team two years ago.

I am relaxed and I realize that losing is part of sports. I still love the Cyclones and I donate to my school because it's a great school. I don't expect anything in return. This year is going to suck a little though. So a lot of people are disappointed.

Mmmhmmm! I'm sure its by choice that you work in an office with no windows, sit behind a desk that's a little too small, and drink stale Folgers coffee all day long just to make it through the day. Because you know at any time you could whip out your resume and land at a BCS school of your choice as either a coach or recruiting specialist. Damn, we should hire this guy! Problems solved. As you were.

Losing to UNI in Chizik's first year (or ever) is inexcusable, but I at least had the excuse that it was Chizik's first year.

I think it will help to avoid cyclone fanatic and all things Iowa state for the rest of labor day weekend.
