The film is Rush. It is about the 1976 Formula 1 season (the closest F1 champ fight ever between Niki Lauda and James Hunt). Lauda nearly lost his life in the 10 race of the season only to return 5 weeks later. For you younger racing fans that see safety crews after every wreck. this took place when safety crews were minimal and the tracks were huge. Lauda's horrific crash took place at the full Nurbergring. a 14 mile circuit and if his competitiors didn't stop to help him Lauda would have lost his life. In those days it was common for drivers to continue past fiery crashes and smell burning flesh knowing their friends were dead. with that in mind I suggest every motor racing fan anticipates this film. Great cast and great direction. It will blow driven out of the water.
