anyone here other than me following the euro?

my take so far:
Day 1: Czech Republic 1 - 0 Switzerland, Portugal 2 - 0 Turkey
Czech Republic really didnt deserve the win, the swiss should have gotten the draw and they are done now that Frei is out. Portugal looks ready to go, Ronaldo didnt do much but they were still the superior side

Day 2: Croatia 1 - 0 Austria, Germany 2 - 0 Poland
Austria really couldnt do much, lucky call on the PK early for croatia but they were the better side, im okay with the outcome. Germany really looked on top of their game. Podolski could be the star of this tournament

Day 3: France 0 - 0 Romania, Netherlands 3 - 0 Italy
France looked pathetic, romania did a good job to come away with a point and could cause some problems in this group of death. Italy also looked awful, but i was more struck by how well the netherlands played. They dominated the midfield, and the counter-attack was tremendous, and i agree with the referres decision on the first goal

I couldn't believe the Italy-Netherlands result, although I am not disappointed. I can't wait for Greece-Sweden tomorrow.

I try I really do, I just cannot get into soccer. I guess I am a typical American, but I need more than a 0-0 score.

I've been watching or Tivoing most of the games on TV, some good matches so far.

I'd watch a 0-0 soccer game 10 times out of 10 over a 150-140 NBA game.

I don't mind 0-0 if it is a good game. The scoring chances and anticipation can make it great. A 0-0 brawl with sloppy play is another thing.

Last night's US-Argentina game was pretty entertaining for a 0-0 game and US-Italy '06 was even better.

I didn't get a chance to watch any today but Italy-Holland really surprised me. Everyone was kind of pooh-poohing Holland's chances and now they have a pretty firm grip on that group after France's draw. I've always had a soft spot for them so I was glad to see it.

As far as the weekend goes I thought Germany looked really tough. Not much else stood out for me except the Czech's didn't look good but I figured they were getting old anyway so it didn't really surprise me.

Wasn't Holland in the first pool when they drew names (and the only one there because of rank)? I think they probably weren't getting enough respect.

Yeah, this was a great tv weekend for soccer, all the Euro games, and the US vs. Argentina friendly, and the US really did play well, just need someone who can finish chances.
Next weekend will be more of the same with Euro games and the opener for World Cup qualifying for the US!

I am really pumped for the Oranje - I didn't think they would pull it off going into the game, but they looked fantastic today.

Hup Holland!

I thought that Holland looked really good today. Pirlo, Gatusso, Ambrosini looked tired and old like they have been most of the season. Materazzi & Barzagli was just embarassing. Cannavaro seemed to just made every defender looked better than they really were.

Spain looked amazing today... awesome game to watch, they are so fun in the attack.

i officially hate greece now, its pathetic the way they play, im very glad ibrahimovic broke the 0-0 tie

Since I am in Germany during this, I have become a fan...and boy are they nuts. Check out what I saw after the game....kind of reminded me of VEISHEA lol.

Right now its GREAT to be a huge KNVB fan and witnessing a dominating performance over the World Cup champs but its disheartening to know that Van Der Saar is leaving the goal after this year.....

Orange ALL THE WAY!!! GO DUTCH!!
