6. Iowa State. The Cyclones have the potential to move all the way up to No. 2 in these rankings -- especially during a down year for the league. Iowa State’s two losses came against ranked teams (UNLV and Cincinnati) and Fred Hoiberg’s squad performed admirably in both games. Michigan State transfer Korie Lucious (28.6 field goal percentage) needs to get on track.



I love the fact Jason King recognizes ISU's potential to be the second strongest team in the league. I think Korie will improve and I predict we finish in the top 3.

Awesome find! They also posted recruiting grades for the 2013 classes in the Big 12. They gave us an A- and we're tied for the second best class in the league. Very high praise for Matt Thomas in the piece and concludes saying people will understand the high rating when Thomas finishes his career with well over 1500+ points.

??? where do you think Thomas would go? Early NBA entry . The guy is a senior in high school. Not like he is a top 10 player out of high school. Lets wait and see how he pans out first.
Why is that any time we even get a decent player or coach people are worried about them leaving. Just doesn't make sense to me. :yes:

Haven't done that in the past for any conference, AFAIK. Brennan and Metcalf usually have good things to say about ISU in the few cases they're brought up, though.

Without a doubt Matt Thomas will be one of those prolific scorers much like Hoiberg, Grayer, Stevens, and Hornacek. He arguably could go down as one of our best recruits ever in the history of the program!
