Out and about today in my Iowa State shirt when an older, well-to-do lady looks at me, looks away, then looks at me again and says, "Thank you, thank you, thank you for kicking Kansas in the nuts last night!"

My kids were trying to irritate me at Kohl's today by asking if they could wear a KU shirt. I told them that they would not be allowed and the shirts were offensive. Two shoppers agreed with me. One a KU fan. One an ISU fan.

I went to Kohls today and asked several associates if they had the KU Championship tshirts and hats yet....

We went to IKEA before leaving town, similar situation... guy comes up to me and just said "Congratulations & thank you guys."

We almost always run into some Mizzou fan down there that either celebrates our wins or wishes us luck in beating KU. I will say I think the majority of true blue MU fans did not want to leave the XII, and miss being in it.

While walking back and forth to the P&L from our hotel we got from a few of the people on the streets "Please beat KU, their fans think they are all that!" Then last night when walking back from supper some guy stopped us and said "ISU TOOK OVER the P&L this weekend" It made me feel pretty proud of what we do as a fan base.
