Ten years from now will we consider Joel Embiid's NBA career to be closer to Greg Oden's or Olajuwon's?

Correct.Only problem with comparing him to Oden (and I could be wrong), but weren't Oden's problems after he got drafted? Embiid is just having all sorts of issues in college and before the draft.
I have a hard time calling someone injury prone when they have only dealt with two injuries. For all we know, the bad back may have caused the fracture in his foot.
Also, Oden most certainly did have injury problems before the NBA. He had surgery on his right wrist in high school and was even forced to shoot free throws left handed during the second half of his freshman year at OSU because of re-occurring issues.
Shoes that aren't right for him? At the greatest college basketball program in the history of mankind, blasphemy. Where is two coach anyway did he finally get the boot? They both could be caused by shoes that aren't right for him for that matter. Could be a simple fix. Or could be indicative of something else. I think I recall reading an SI article about 7+ footers and the unique health problems they face. People just aren't intended to be that big.

I'd like to have some faith in the kid, as he has shown some great ability, but back and foot problems on a 7 footer before he's played a second in the NBA? That's scary. For every 7 footer who has had a productive career there is one who has had injuries force him out of the league...
Oden never really recovered after being fiercely guarded by our own Cory Johnson.
