I'm going to go ahead and agree...the title of the movie gave it away for me. Three Dark Knight Returns? Yeah right. I remember all the rumors leading up to The Dark Knight, this its just the latest
I agree its bogus, but it might be called The Dark Knight Returns. Thats the name of a Frank Miller Batman series. Since Batman Begins is loosely based on Miller's Batman: Year One, it isn't crazy to think it could be named that, especially since the Cops are now chasing Batman in Nolan's universe.

Keep in mind The Office may be done after next year, as 'Michael Scott' is leaving...Rain Wilson could try to turn his career in a different direction to break out of the typecast...and being in this series as a villain would do that, as he wouldnt be returning as Dwight Schrute
I don't think anyone is saying Rainn Wilson wouldn't be interested.
Joseph Gordon Levitt would be great in some sort of role. Honestly, who had the teen for 3rd Rock from the Sun pegged as a breakout Hollywood star?

I think he would be an incredible choice to play the Riddler. He was excellent in INCEPTION…and has the look of a young –“smarty” for the role, much like Ledger did for the Joker. (Can you say, 10 Things I Hate About You connection?) Christopher Nolan likes to keep “his” actors around for his upcoming feature films too. I’m going to go ahead and say it’s a lock.

Gordon Leavitt looks a lot like Heath Ledger. I had heard rumors after The Dark Knight came out that they were talks about Johnny Depp playing The Riddler...which is probably a pipe dream.
Yeah, close I guess. I heard rumors for Batman 3 that Nolan wanted to use the Joker character again...but since Ledger died, that idea was taken out. Maybe Gordon-Levitt brings that thought process back? And, they still find someone to play the riddler? (I think Gordon-Levitt could play either one of those characters.)

Johnny Depp playing the Riddler would be like Jack Nicholson playing The Joker: the movie and promotion would instantly be all about Johnny Depp. That seems to be the opposite of how Nolan has casted.
