Drake set to hire new coach

Looking at the guys past records beyond one season its a fairly mediocre resume. Havent seen any of his teams play though. Any one know if he pushes the tempo?

The name is Ray Giacoletti, he's a Gonzaga assistant and former head coach at Utah.

Drake hiring Ray Giacoletti is a coup for the Valley. Loss for Mark Few's staff at Gonzaga. Giacoletti never got his due at Utah.

A former head coach and an assistant at arguably the top mid-major in MBB, seems like about as good as you're going to get at Drake.

He was great when he had Andrew Bogut at Utah...not so great when Bogut left for the NBA. I don't think he will have Andrew Bogut at Drake.

No. He got fired in 2007. Has been an assistant with Gonzaga since.
