For this new Fox Sports 1 channel...or changed names...where can I find it on Dish Network? My understanding is that it was renamed after being Speed channel.

Also, it doesn't officially launch until August 17, so you wouldn't be able to find the channel now even if the deal was done.

So...why would that network have the game. 60% of people in Iowa have Dish or Dir TV. Weird...hopefully things change...or we won't see ISU until Oct 3 TEXAS on ESPN.

I know this is about Dish, but has it been determined if Mediacom will carry this in the normal place of Speed?

A deal will get worked out. These rarely get finalized until the final hour or at even a few days after the channel airs. If it was going on air the day of our game, I would be worried, but it is almost a month before the game. Not worried.

I read an article that also said a deal will likely get worked out with most providers at the last minute.

Someone can correct me on this, but I thought I heard Mediacom has already agreed to terms with FS1.

As of Friday, August 2

UFC president Dana White said via text message that he remains unconcerned and thinks deals will be struck with all major providers by launch date.
"We got Comcast done," White said in a text to Yahoo! Sports, meaning Comcast Cable is set to go with FS1 on the Aug. 17 launch. "That was the one I was worried about, but I think Fuel situation helped there."
In a separate text, he wrote, "I am planning on all of them [DirecTV, Dish and Time Warner] by the 17th."
