If you're going to be cut, this is the time for it to happen. DG has options, I'd be shocked if no one gave him a chance at training camp next fall. This move was more about money than DG as a player.

Read once that 50% of all MLB players who obtain one year of seniority, never get to 2 years. I wouldn't be surprised if the same applies to the NBA or NFL.

If your and NBA exec I think you have to take Garrett because he has proven to be a capable back up at an NBA level. Don't get me wrong I think Kane could be a good back up in the NBA but when comparing the two 25 year old guys, one has been playing In the league for two years the other your hoping to be able to do that.

Don't get me wrong I think Kane could be a good back up in the NBA but when comparing the two 25 year old guys, one has been playing In the league for two years the other your hoping to be able to do that.

I think I'd go Kane, DG really lacks on the defensive end and Kane has an NBA body. He's also a match up nightmare. Nothing against DG, offensively I think they are fairly equal but Kane has a much more diverse game. He just has a higher ceiling IMO. I wouldn't shy away from either guy.
