OKC Thunder to make cuts in the coming days | News OK

It appears the final spot will come down to forward Ryan Gomes and point guard Diante Garrett. Gomes has the advantage of being a seven-year veteran, but Garrett plays a position at which the Thunder currently lacks depth due to the injury to starter Russell Westbrook.
If preseason playing time provides any indication of which direction the Thunder is leaning, Garrett had appeared in all five contests prior to Tuesday night, logging 38 minutes, while Gomes had appeared in only one game, playing 12-first half minutes.
“It's coming down,” Brooks said of cut day. “The next three or four days. Just get by these next couple of games and then we make a decision shortly after.”
With Garrett, a 24-year-old Iowa State product who appeared in 19 games as a member of the Suns last season, Brooks said he's mostly looking to see how he commands the floor.
