In US News College Rankings for 2010, CU is third in the Public University listings with our beloved alma mater nippin' at their tails, and KU right behind us. Granted, CU is very strong in some programs, just like ISU is very strong in many. I like that Woody pointed out that the Big 8 was ok for CU for decades, but now it's not? probably correlates with the trend of more students from Cali attending CU over the decades. How many of these Cali CU alum have even traveled to other big12 schools? And, one final comment, have any of these CU alum ever driven 30 minutes east of boulder or beyond? half of the state of Colorado is a barren, arid wasteland, perhaps the saying in these parts about boulder is right "10 square miles surrounded by reality."
