from today's paper... Paige takes a view contrary to most of the media in Colorado. I love the readers comments of the end of the article. Why do they think they are so academically superior to the rest of the Big 12? In US News College Rankings for 2010, CU is third in the Public University listings with our beloved alma mater nippin' at their tails, and KU right behind us. Granted, CU is very strong in some programs, just like ISU is very strong in many. I like that Woody pointed out that the Big 8 was ok for CU for decades, but now it's not? probably correlates with the trend of more students from Cali attending CU over the decades. How many of these Cali CU alum have even traveled to other big12 schools? And, one final comment, have any of these CU alum ever driven 30 minutes east of boulder or beyond? half of the state of Colorado is a barren, arid wasteland, perhaps the saying in these parts about boulder is right "10 square miles surrounded by reality."

Interesting take. Most people in Colorado are falling over themselves at the thought of CU in the Pac 12. It is probably a better fit for CU, as their largest concentration of alumni is on the West Coast.

"good old walkover Iowa State" ?? Havent we actually been pretty doggone competitive with them recently?

Last 10 games we are 3-7 vs CU 3 wins by average of 4 pts and 7 losses by average of 13 pts. My guess is the further you go back the uglier it gets.
