MLB: Dempster Ad Thanks Cubs, Fans

They are destroying Dempster on 670 The Score. He effed the Cubs over when he didn't take the Atlanta trade. The Cubs got pretty much zero value for him. If he really wanted to thank the Cubs and their fans, he would be in Atlanta right now.
The Score represents the jerk-off cub fanbase pretty well.
Yeah, Dempster should've decided what team to go to based on what would benefit the cubs most, not make a decision that was best for himself.
Meanwhile, they demanded one of the Dodgers 2 best prospects in order to approve a trade. Yet basically gave him away to the Rangers when the Dodgers wouldn't budge.
Losers.
I think Demp will be back as a Cub.
Those fans that say Dempster screwed us over need to stop. He has been a great clubhouse guy and preformed on the field as well. He needed to do whats best for him and he saw his best chance at a championship in Texas. You can't be mad at him for that.
We got some prospects in return, sure they may not have been as highly rated as the Brave's returns were, but who knows? Maybe these two will be better.

I'm a little confused here. You said that Dempster was in his rights to refuse to be traded somewhere he didn't want to go.
Then you faulted the organization because they didn't get a good enough deal for him. That cleverly ignores the facts in the case, which happen to be:
1. they had an effing amazing deal with the Braves, which just happened to be on the list of teams that Dempster told the club was on his list of teams to which he would accept a trade.
2. Dempster claims he was blindsided by the press release about the deal, even though Theo Epstein claims he had been telling Dempster to expect a deal for several days before it happened.
3. Once Dempster blew up the deal, the Cubs had zero leverage with any other ballclub to get a good deal.
How did Dempster not eff over the Cubs again?
You realize what Dempster said two months ago, right? If he wouldn't of said that he wants to do what's best for the organization then nobody would be mad at him this year.
The fact is Dempster told Theo and Jed that Atlanta was a place he'd go to and then when he was traded there, he backed out. That's his right but the fans also have the right to be ****** off at him. He wasted the FO's time trying to find a trade that Dempster himself said was acceptable. That's why fans are ****** off at him and they have every right to be.
Oh and one of the prospects the Cubs got back from the Rangers in the trade we "basically gave him away to the Rangers" hit two home runs last night.
Thats actually not how it happened at all, in fact both Dempster and the Cubs handled the situation with alot of class.
The Cubs made the trade with Atlants, Dempster didnt turn it down, he just said, "not yet" not until he knew a trade with the Dodgers was completely out. So, the Cubs let Dempster listen in on the conversations so he could realize that the Dodgers offers were completely rediculous. Meanwhile, the Braves decided they couldn't wait any longer and made the trade for Maholm. The Cubs still tried hard to get Depster to LA and when that fell through, they went with the Rangers offer.
Dempster has more than earned the right to exercise his 10-5 rights, that's why they exist.
Like I said, both sides handled the whole thing with alot of class... Cubs fans should be more upset with Soriano who declined a deal to the Pirates for Marte and Hughes.
The Cubs have the 6th highest win % (.518) of all MLB franchises are are #2 in total wins all-time.
