Apparently he had been struggling with seizures and it sounds like that is what caused his death. Guy was a hell of a player. Sad.

Serious question, have they ever announced a former player didn’t have CTE after they examined their brain?
In this study from a few years ago, 110 of 111 former NFL players were found to have it. But the big caveat there is that brains were generally donated because there was some expectation that the player might have had CTE.

I’d like to know the amount amongst the general population for a comparison.
Wouldn't shock me that for NFL players who have spent so much of their life with the sport its nearly 100% unless your a kicker.
