I've never seen this hosting a drug house charge, but that sounds about right. He's the only one in the slammer, though.

Im sure I am the only one that is not to worried about this. Mckat comes in and everyone moves in to fill the holes. His production gets filled by everyone. Not the end of the world.
Hosting a drug house makes me believe something a little more than simply smoking weed was going on. Because I had a party back in the day that got busted and some of my buddies had been smoking. I was charged with a Disorderly House and it was a simple misdemeanor. Paid an $85 fine and that was it. Hosting a drug house sounds worse, but it has been 10 years since mine occurred so maybe it's similar to what I had.
Regardless, you have to look at the circumstances here. 5th year transfer player with a history of problems. In my opinion, the coach should take that into consideration. If he were younger and this was his first mistake then maybe you let it slide.

not shocked - pot should be legal. but it's not.
also, why is he the only one arrested for this? if it was a buddy selling at a party wouldn't the cops arrest that person.

Agreed. Having a party that got a bit out of control? Meh, handle things internally but that doesnt seem strong enough to suspend him from games or anything.
Reading a few of the same charges online and it sounds like he allowed people to smoke and or drink at his house.
the penalty for hosting a drug house is up to 20 years in prison. Doesn't seem like a slap on the wrist
