Some radio guy, it sounded like Deace but I'm not sure, questioned Bill Fennelly being a real friend to Dan McCarney because he tweeted that Dan had had a stroke. He sounded more ****** that Bill had scooped the media. Who ever it was sounded low class. Did anyone else hear him? And if you did who was it?

Pretty ridiculous if true. All Fennelly said was "Please keep Dan McCarney in your thoughts and prayers after a recent stroke-no better people than he and his wife Margy!".

Maybe I am mistaken, but didn't Coach Fennelly go and watch a North Texas football game this year? I could have sworn I read that somewhere.

Does it really matter? If a complete stranger has a stroke and I tweet "Hope you get well soon, you're in our thoughts and prayers" that somehow makes me a **** human being?

This makes no sense whatsoever. Wether he's "truly" mac's friend or not is irrelevant. It was a nice thing to say and I don't see how anybody could manage to twist it into anything else.

Could be but my neighbor is one of Macs first recruits and he went down this year to a game and got me a North Texas signed program. I know this is off topic.

I don't want to get involved in fans dissing local media but for accuracy purposes, do want to clarify that it was Ken Miller's take, not Steve Deace's...

Thanks for clarifying... I don't know how you put with those TOOLS on kxno- thanks for doing it though. Wish you would cut that audio and post it, so the rest of CF could hear it. He took a cheap at ISU before the Fennelly comments.

Guess I don't see what the problem is with what Bill did. As far as he knew Dans time could be drawing near and all the prayers in the world were needed at that time. If I were Bill I can live with doing something vs. nothing. Good job out of you Bill we are behind you and as you wish prayers are with Dan and his family

Sorry I don't listen to talk radio that much. Sorry to Steve Deace. Do they even sound alike or I am way off base? I listened to that driving home from work a really got ****** off. I know the Fennelly's and he didn't deserve that.

You're way off base. They sound nothing alike

And he was getting really worked up about it. I agree. If I had a stroke, the last thing I'd want my friend to do is let people know and ask for prayers. :twitcy:

I thought it was fair critisim of BF's tweet. More or less, BF tweeted it out, and sent the media in a frenzy trying to confirm the story, and forcing the North Texas AD to come out with a statement saying the family wishes this remains private at this time. Too top it all off, BF refused to comment on his tweet at his presser yesterday, so he also probably feels like he jumped the gun in tweeting the story.

The only thing I disagreed with was with Miller saying that if he was Dan that friendship would be over. In the end, it really was no big deal, and I highly doubt Dan cares that BF tweeted it.

When I saw Bill's tweet I actually wondered if Dan was OK with him releasing his condition. This is a HIPAA violation by my accounts, I could be wrong. And knowing Dan and Bill, I'm sure that Dan was OK with it, but this didn't seem to be Ken's issue with it.

In defense of Ken... puke... What if Dan didn't want that released, maybe they thought it was a stroke but were still running tests.
