Race Coverage of the Daytona 500 Sprint Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway is scheduled for Sunday, February 21, 2016.
Television (TV): FOX at 1:00 pm/et; Pre-Race show at 10:00am/et on FS1 and 12:00pm/et on FOX; green flag approx. 1:31pm/et
Radio: Motor Racing Network (MRN) and Sirius XM Satellite NASCAR Radio 90
Scheduled Race Re-Airs: Monday, February 22 at 8:30am/et on FS1; and 8:00pm/et on FS1

Pretty cool two Iowans make the starting grid. Michael Annett ( DesMoines) starts in the 20th spot and Landon Cassill (Fairfax) rolls out on the outide of row 11.

Rookie Chase Elliott starts on the poll but, last years champ Kyle Busch lines up beside him. Who will lead the first Lap?

What lap will Danica wreck?

Can't wait!
 
I don't watch a ton of NASCAR but when I did I would root for Gordon. Is Chase the replacement guy?

I started watching NASCAR on and off in the late 80's and after a few years I started watching it more so I decided I should at least root for someone. So I picked a rookie named Jeff Gordon. It was amazing all the hate there was for him when he started dominating. The funny part is Earnhardt fans hated him because they just assumed Dale Sr. hated him. Years later Jr. was asked if his dad really hated Jeff Gordon, he paused and replied "actually, I think they were kind of friends"
 
I'm a Tony Stewart guy so it will be bittersweet watching today. Jr has a dominating car and is great on plate tracks. He's my prediction today. Him and Hamlin upfront most of the day.
 
This is one of the greatest days in sports, I think it will come down to Jr or Hamlin.
 
whoever invited me to the fantasy league, I think I'm skipping this year.


Hope Jr. has a great day, been fast so far.


This Martin Truex Jr. deal is a sad thing. I hope she's going to be ok.

it's like he traded his soul for that 2011 cup win. His luck the past few years, yeesh.

I thought it was pretty well known that it was an on-track rivalry because they were both so good, but off the track it was mutual respect.

Me too, the accident last year really changed him IMO. Brad and Joey on the other hand? They could finish last every race and I still wouldnt be satisfied.
 
ah, I love the sound of firing engines at Daytona. The season is so full of excitement and promise and all your dreams haven't been dashed for the year yet.


Unless you're a Stewart fan, I suppose. :unsure:
