David Montgomery free agency

Aiyuk, Debo, and Jennings block just as well as Lazard. In addition to that kittle blocks better than him.
He’s a better blocker than Aiyuk and Jennings might be better but he can do some stupid **** at times during a game. Samuel is just way better and regardless of how he blocks he can do things few can. You really don’t even want him blocking a ton so he can stay healthy.

Lazard is a great blocker but you’d be hard pressed to argue he’s better than either Aiyuk or Jennings if you watch them on run plays. Those guys are really good blocking WRs.

You could be right. I think they are all top tier.

He should go to Houston if they pay up though -
Im hoping he goes to a contender or a team with a decent to good offensive line and a quality veteran quarterback. To me that would eliminate Houston, but Chicago could work depending who they spend all that cap room money on.

Seriously why would San Fran add another RB? You want McCaffrey on the field as much as possible and Elijah Mitchell is one of the best RB2 in the league.

Exactly SF is pretty set at RB and they also run some plays with Deebo and Ray-Ray McCloud acting as a RB on a sweep or gadget play too that turns into some big gains sometimes.

Montgomery either will have to find a team with a bad RB situation where he can be the #1 guy and there are a few out there but they are mostly teams that missed the playoffs. Or he will have to settle to be the #2 guy on a good team where he'd be the passing down back probably.

As for Lazard he is going to find plenty of suitors because of his blocking abilities alone but he probably not going to be a WR1 or WR2 on most teams. I'd love to see him in KC as they'll be looking for affordable WR in the offseason and his skills would fit their offense well as he would not have to be a high volume guy but still could make some big plays with how they use their WR. Montgomery would be nice fit in KC too with their RB by committed approach but I doubt they can afford him. Their payroll for RB for 2023 is pretty cheap, $3.5 mil for the last year of CEH and 890k for Pacheco. McKinnon is a free agent that I would love to see bring back again but he probably will get a better offer somewhere else after a good 1+ years with the Chiefs.
