Interesting quote by CPR--saying that DI made a "mistake", and now everyone knows how good he can be--so they'll expecting him to play that way all the time. :biggrin:
Irving has been playing very hard this season. Several times, I've been impressed to see him running the field and being in on the tackle at the end of a long play. Glad to see him finally using he skills right on the line against the pass. Fantastic "heads up" play on the block, made a solid grab of the ball, and took off. Hope he really feels great for this play.
If he did nothing but stand there with his arms in the air, he could take away a lot of passing lanes from the opposing QB. It is nice having someone like him on the line.

I've noticed that too. He is hustling, and he's only scratched the surface of his potential.
DI is still a long ways off from reaching his potential but you can see he's working and he has all the physical tools to make himself a very rich man in the NFL someday. My fear is that he will only touch on his potential at ISU, I think he'll be a great pro someday but we may only see a season or so of him coming into his own at ISU.
For it being his pick, he really sounded surprised. Sounded like it was the first time he'd seen it and someone else picked it for him and he had to guess what was going on..
