NFL: Dark day for 'Merica

I think the Chiefs were trolling America by keeping him on the roster for 2 years.

Some of the post on Facebook and Twitter from Iowa fans about this are hilarious.

OK, not to urinate on your open wound, guys, but just for perspective...this guy wasn't good enough for THE CHIEFS...
Maybe even more funny is the Chiefs thought that he just might be good enough to play for them.

According to profootballtalk.com he got picked up by the Jags. If he has a chance to play anywhere it'd be there, but I'm guessing this has more to do with Jacksonville seeing an opportunity to pick the brain of a guy who has a very good understanding of their week one opponent's offense.

Stanzi could do more than hit checkdown routes, which is all gabbert ever did at mizzou.

He'll get cut soon. Sounds like 3 guys fighting for the #3 spot now that Stanzi is there

Moeoki is probably done for the year with a broken shoulder. So good news for Chiefs fans, the obsession of Scott Pioli with Iowa Hawkeyes is finally over

Jags will cut him loose. Cowboys will pick him up. 'Boys will cut him loose, Pats will pick him up. Week 2, Brady goes down on a vicious sideline late hit, Stanzi steps in and carries the NFL for the next decade. America, saved.

Just for the record, I'd gladly trade a spot on an NFL roster and the contract that comes with it, for 2 years, for all of you to mock me. Hell, most of you probably already do mock me, so at least I'd have gotten paid. NFL back up QB has got to be the second best job in America, right behind anything Major League Baseball.
