Saw this morning's Waterloo Courier that Danny Harris was named assistant track coach at UNI. Hate to lose him. He has been helping ISU for last 2 years. Wish we would have had room to keep him.

Do they have a decent track surface either installed or that they can lay down? Neither the crappy turf in the UNI Dome or even field turf would be a good training surface for track.

I'm not a track guy at all, but you have perfect weather in the dome all the time. How can a track guy go wrong with that?

Ya but pretty much every cold weather school has an indoor track. The fact that its a 200 flat track isn't good. It also has a very dull atmosphere for meets. The good indoor tracks are 200 banked or 300 like ISU has.

thats got to be one of the worst tracks to run. we used to run on both the track at the UNI dome as well as the track at lied rec for high school meets every year and ISU's track was far better. i hated having to run twice as many laps at UNI than i normally had to
