NSCR: Danica is still Danica - weekend recap

I used to be completely disinterested in NASCAR too. Then, reluctantly, I went to a few races (Texas & Talladega) with some buddies who are big NASCAR fans.

I truly believe there are very few people that wouldn't enjoy watching a race at Talladega. I still don't pay close attention to the races otherwise, but the the two races I've been to at Talladega were awesome! Everyone should give it a try at some point.

Go figure! Drinking beer with friends is enjoyable! Never would have guessed that.

haters will hate.. still doesnt take away the fact that nascar has the most loyal fans compared to any other sports...

Danica has anger problems and if she is not suspended or at least docked points it will be a shame.

I've always wondered why these cars are considered Fords, Chevys, Dodges, Toyotas, whatever. Somebody told me the only actual stock part on a NASCAR vehicle is the rear deck lid. So why do the automakers bother associating themselves with these cars?

Engine configuration. They may not be stock chevy, ford, etc. engine parts but the after market stuff is still the basic configuration as the stock stuff.
