Cyclones vs. Wisconsin

Surprised that Wisconsin isn't high enough to get home court or does volleyball assign random home courts for the first 2 rounds? Saw a badgers coaches bus at one of the hotels right off new 30 by the Kum and Go. Figured it had to be the volleyball team.

The seeded teams get the home court. The better experts can take it from there and figure out why RPI goes above rankings, or however it was figured out.
We've not been able to catch too many volleyball matches this season. Those we've been able to watch...they lost. We are watching this one. Very frustrating.
Your probably not a huge volleyball fan but have wondered if let's say ISU MBB or FB are playing Wisky, who are you going for?

I thought we might win the 3rd halfway through, started good.
didn't get to watch tonight but sort of figured this was how it would go. UW plays a tougher schedule than we do and I was not thrilled that we drew them. They probably deserved a higher spot than they had.
Some good players leaving but some great ones still there. Hard to believe the season is over already! Seems like it was just August.

Disappointing to get swept at home and not take advantage of the home court.
Program really needs to recruit/develop an all-conference setter before it can contend for a conference title and advance beyond the 2nd round of the NCAAs. The lack of one in recent seasons has been a major reason why for not being a conference title contender or in the Sweet 16 or better. Some other areas need to be get better as well but setter is the biggie IMO.

I don't think our problem was/is setting. Other than Shaben, and "maybe" Bailey, we haven't been able to really recruit incredible athletic outside hitters. It wasn't our defense that cost this game, nor setting, Monique did a great job in this game, we couldn't get balls down, never get high hands, and hit way too many errors.
Piper Mauk is supposed to be an elite potential setter, she was ranked 24 best player in her class.
